MF: budget deficit after May ‘24 amounted to PLN 53.1 bln
The budget deficit after May 2024 amounted to PLN 53,111.6 billion, which is 28.9% of the annual plan, according to the Ministry of Finance. In the period from January to May 2024, budget revenues totaled PLN 261,042.6 billion (38.3% of the plan), while expenditures amounted to PLN 314,154.2 billion (36.3% of the plan).
Tax revenues were PLN 236.1 billion, with VAT revenues at PLN 122.1 billion, excise tax revenues at PLN 34.7 billion, PIT revenues at PLN 33.0 billion, and CIT revenues at PLN 38.3 billion, all showing increases compared to the same period in 2023.
Non-tax revenues were PLN 24.9 billion, affected by lower emissions trading revenues.
