CBRE: one-third of investors prefer residential assets in real estate

Institutional investment in residential real estate is rising across Europe, with a 32% increase in 2024. In Poland, the sector grew by an impressive 170%, reaching €344 million, according to CBRE. Multifamily housing leads investor preferences, with 32% of EMEA investors favoring this asset class over industrial (27%) and office (16%) properties. In Poland, activity includes PRS (Private Rented Sector) and PBSA (student housing), with growing interest in developments on service-zoned land. Domestic capital is also becoming more active.
Market fundamentals like high rental demand and limited housing supply are driving momentum. CBRE expects continued growth in 2025, with Living assets maintaining a leading position in commercial real estate investment.
