Entrepreneurs are waiting on deregulation bill

The deregulation bill being developed by Poland's Ministry of Development is welcomed by the business community, but the slow pace of work is causing concern. The proposed legislation aims to simplify unregistered business operations and introduce "silent approval" mechanisms in selected economic areas. It also introduces a six-month vacatio legis for regulatory changes, which is especially appreciated in the tax context.
However, business representatives argue the reforms are too limited. Ongoing bureaucracy, legislative delays, and rising operational costs discourage investment, particularly among SMEs. Experts emphasize the urgent need for systemic change. The Northern Chamber of Commerce supports deregulation and warns that without political will, critical reforms may stall. Deregulation is viewed as essential for improving Poland's business environment.
