As prices for standard properties increase, interest in the premium segment is also growing. According to ThinkCo estimates, luxury apartments account for approximately 1 percent of the Polish market, while apartments with higher standards account for up to 10 percent.
The vast majority, 85 percent, of luxury apartment listings come from five Polish cities: Warsaw, Gdańsk, Wrocław, Kraków, and Gdynia.
"The more expensive apartments are on the standard market, the more acceptable it is for many buyers to pay even more to buy an apartment on the luxury market," Tomasz Bojęć, managing partner of ThinkCo, said.
A report by ThinkCo, prepared in cooperation with Otodom, NOHO Investment, and Renters.pl, shows that a total of 85 percent of all luxury apartments are located in five cities in Poland: Warsaw, Gdynia, Gdańsk, Kraków, and Wrocław. Warsaw is the most developed market for higher-standard and luxury real estate. The capital city accounts for 27 percent of listings for higher-standard apartments and 31 percent of luxury apartments.
