According to KPMG’s “Cybersecurity Barometer” report, 66% of Polish companies experienced cybersecurity incidents. Larger organizations with over 250 employees are most vulnerable, making up a third of serious incident reports. Key threats include phishing, malware, and data theft by employees. Organized cybercrime groups are considered the biggest risk (53%).
Companies also face challenges recruiting and retaining cybersecurity specialists (53%), along with budget constraints (43%). To address these issues, 84% of firms rely on external IT security providers, mainly for training and incident response. Meanwhile, 49% of companies lack adequate Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity programs, increasing the risk of undetected threats and operational disruptions.
