Almost 69,000 work permits for Asians were issued in 2019. This is 18 percent more than a year earlier, shows Polish labor ministry data.

Most permits were granted to Nepalese (9,200), Indians (8,000) and Georgians (7,400). In total, citizens from over 40 Asian countries applied for work permits in Poland.

Personnel Service, a recruitment agency, indicates that in 2020 employers will continue to hire staff from Asia, due to the growing difficulties in recruiting employees from Ukraine.
