Poland stands out in wearables transactions

In Europe, the number of people who pay for purchases using “wearables” such as smartwatches or fitness bands is steadily increasing. Over the past year, the number of such transactions has increased eight-fold across the continent. This trend is also becoming more and more popular in Poland. In Europe, the first place in terms of payments made through wearables is taken by the Netherlands, where one-third (33%) of all such transactions concluded in 2019 took place. The next positions were taken by the UK (18%), Switzerland (8%) and Russia (7%). Poland is fifth in Europe and sixth in the world.
Worldwide, the largest number of such payments were made in Australia, followed by the Netherlands.
