Poland wants to end hidden costs of real estate prices

Polska 2050 has introduced a draft bill requiring developers to publish property prices and their pricing history. The goal is to increase market transparency and eliminate hidden costs in the real estate sector.
Currently, many developers do not disclose prices publicly, requiring potential buyers to contact sales offices, where sellers gain a negotiation advantage. The proposed law, now in public consultation until March 23, 2025, would standardize access to pricing data and allow buyers to compare offers more easily.
The bill also grants the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) the authority to impose fines of up to 10% of a developer’s annual revenue for non-compliance, ensuring better consumer protection and fair competition.
