In 2024, the value of newly issued mortgage loans in Poland rose to PLN 85.18 billion, up from PLN 62.76 billion in 2023, according to the AMRON-SARFiN report. The number of loans granted increased to 202,661, compared to 162,375 the previous year.

In Q4 2024, banks issued 46,826 mortgages worth PLN 19.87 billion, marking a 2.85% quarterly increase in value. Despite this growth, the total number of active mortgage agreements fell to 2.24 million, reflecting a 12% decline since 2021.

Experts attribute the strong mortgage performance to a rising average loan value (PLN 427,000) and greater financing availability. While the market remains stable, future growth depends on regulatory policies and macroeconomic stability. Further expansion is expected in 2025, barring economic disruptions.
