Real estate turnover increased 21% y/y to PLN 257.4 bln in ‘24

According to Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS), the total value of real estate transactions in 2024 rose by 21.1% y/y to PLN 257.43 billion. Property units accounted for PLN 136.5 billion (288,771 transactions), built properties for PLN 69.43 billion (89,299 deals), and undeveloped land for PLN 51.5 billion (188,240 deals). Overall, 545,800 notarial deeds were signed—a 6.8% increase from 2023. The largest growth was seen in sales of residential lots (+17%), undeveloped plots (+13.2%), and other property types.
However, notarial deeds involving perpetual usufruct rights granted by the state or local governments dropped by 15.8%. The data highlights strong market activity across all property segments.
