Report: 28.5% of employed people see financial situation getting worse

According to the “Labour Market Barometer” by Gi Group Holding, 28.5% of working Poles reported a decline in their financial situation over the past six months, while 25.1% saw improvement. Nearly half (46.4%) noticed no change. Retail workers reported the most improvement (36.7%). Despite some pay raises, rising prices have reduced purchasing power, prompting many to seek extra income or better manage their budgets.
The most affected are people aged 45–54, those in smaller towns or rural areas, and lower-level employees. Younger workers (18–24) and managers reported more improvements. Wage increases were most common among manual workers (42%), though many still felt financially worse off. Companies face rising pressure for pay raises amid economic uncertainty.
