Uber and Bolt Drivers Strike Across Poland

Drivers for ride-hailing platforms Uber and Bolt are striking today in major Polish cities like Warsaw, Poznań, and the Tri-City area. They are protesting poor pay conditions, citing platform commissions of up to 50% and stagnant rates that haven’t kept pace with inflation and rising costs.
Key demands include:
A minimum net payment of PLN 12 per ride, regardless of distance.
A minimum of PLN 3 per kilometre driven.
Higher night rates (+25% in-city, +50% outside).
Drivers say they are burdened with all operational costs (fuel, repairs, insurance) and face unrealistic expectations without fair compensation. The movement has been formalized through a petition signed by nearly 1,000 people, calling for urgent platform reforms to ensure dignity and sustainability in their work.
