Traders Concerned Over EU's Potential Egg Regulations

Retailers are expressing concerns over potential changes to egg regulations by the European Commission. These changes could significantly impact the industry by imposing stricter standards on egg production and sales.
"Implementing new EU regulations on egg production could lead to increased costs for farmers and retailers," Jan Kowalski, a representative of the Polish Retailers Association, said.
"This may also affect prices for consumers and disrupt the market," he added.
The proposed regulations aim to improve animal welfare and food safety but have sparked debates among industry stakeholders.
