Unpaid Liabilities in HoReCa Industry Surpass PLN 441 Million

The HoReCa sector (tourism, hospitality, and catering) faces over PLN 441 million in unpaid liabilities, according to the National Debt Register of the Economic Information Office. Despite 80% of businesses demonstrating high payment reliability, the situation is dire for the catering segment, where only 74% of companies are financially stable. Hotels and guesthouses fare better, with 92% rated highly in terms of payment reliability.
Over 95,000 unpaid invoices in the HoReCa sector have accumulated, with catering companies and accommodation facilities accounting for PLN 417 million of the debt. The majority of unpaid liabilities belong to sole proprietorships, which owe over PLN 251 million. Experts suggest that financial solutions like factoring and installment payments could help businesses in this sector manage liquidity and reduce debt pressure.
