ArcelorMittal invests PLN 500m
ArcelorMittal Poland has launched an investment program worth nearly PLN 500 million, focusing on modernization, sustainability, and safety across its operations. About PLN 100 million will go toward environmental and safety projects at the Dąbrowa plant, including a PLN 35 million upgrade of the coke wagon dedusting system—cutting dust emissions tenfold—a PLN 30 million renovation of slag granulation systems, and a PLN 30 million upgrade to the argon station.
Other key projects include modernizing the CHP plant in Zdzieszowice, building a photovoltaic farm in Świętochłowice, and expanding hydrogen furnace production in Kraków. “These activities confirm our commitment to producing steel in Poland and supporting the national economy,” said CEO Wojciech Koszuta.
ArcelorMittal Poland, the country’s largest steelmaker, operates five mills and employs over 9,000 people. To date, it has invested more than PLN 11 billion in Poland.
