Polenergia and Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego have signed a loan agreement under the National Recovery Plan (KPO) to finance the construction of offshore wind farms. The financing, amounting to PLN 750 million, will support the construction of two farms with a combined capacity of 1,440 MW. Poland’s largest private energy group is implementing this project in partnership with Norway's Equinor. The construction of turbine foundations in the Baltic Sea is set to begin in 2026. These offshore projects will form a key pillar of Polenergia’s new strategy, which the company is developing.
“The Baltic wind farm project was inherited from my father, who believed Poland could have wind farms and be powered by clean energy at a time when no one else believed it, many years ago. I believe it too,” Dominika Kulczyk, Chairwoman of Polenergia's Supervisory Board, said.
