European Commission opposes 'concretization' in Polish cities

The European Commission has responded on Twitter to the media storm over the renovation and cutting of all trees from the market square in Lezajsk.
"From this financial perspective, EU funds will not support climate unfriendly revitalizations of Polish cities and towns. Please see the Partnership Agreement adopted yesterday," EC twitted.
Over the next five years, cohesion funds are expected to, among other things, support the country's green and digital transformation, competitive, innovative and sustainable economic growth, and foster social inclusion and skills development for those struggling to integrate into the labor market.
Citing the newly signed agreement with Poland, the European Commission responded directly to photos illustrating the 300conomy article about the pseudo-revitalization of the market in Lezajsk.
