Katowice Airport maintains optimistic growth forecasts, expecting nearly 8 million passengers in 2026 and a record cargo result, with growing interest from Chinese carriers. Regional Polish airports have been only slightly affected by Middle East tensions, with passenger traffic rising across major cities. In Q1, Katowice handled 1.13 million passengers, despite a small March dip linked to geopolitical events. Airlines continue expanding operations, with new routes planned. Financially, the airport anticipates steady revenue and EBITDA growth.

Cargo remains strong, driven by e commerce from China and cooperation with DHL Express, including plans for a new terminal. Long term investments aim to boost capacity and position Katowice as Poland’s second largest airport.
