Report: four Polish silicon valleys could combine into one economic system
The report “COP-2 Concept – Four Polish Silicon Valleys” proposes integrating four existing industrial regions into one coordinated economic system. Instead of creating new hubs, it aims to connect industries, resources, technology, infrastructure, and human capital into a unified structure. Key sectors such as copper, defense, and energy would form a single value chain supporting national security and development.
The plan identifies four pillars: a western copper based region, a central defense and heavy industry zone, a northeastern area for future resources and technologies, and the Belchatow energy hub. Together, they represent up to half of Poland economy.
The concept also reflects global trends of reshoring industry to Europe. By improving integration, Poland could strengthen economic resilience, attract investment, and become a major industrial center.
