CEO of EPP: Polish real estate market needs local investors

Thirty years ago, Poland’s commercial real estate market barely existed. Today, it is a mature sector exploring new growth directions. Tomasz Trzósło, CEO of EPP, reflects on this evolution ahead of the 15th Property Forum, scheduled for September 25–26, 2025, at the Sheraton Hotel in Warsaw.
In the early 1990s, Poland’s real estate market was in its infancy—few office buildings, limited retail and hotel options, and virtually no rental or warehouse sectors. Over the past 15 years, the market matured, especially in office and logistics. Now, challenges include repurposing office spaces, closing unprofitable retail centers, and attracting investment. The future lies in sustainability, modernization, mixed-use developments, and increasing Polish capital involvement.
