Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin resigned on Monday, recommending Jadwiga Emilewicz as deputy prime minister, while his formation Agreement will remain in the coalition

The reason for Gowin's dismissal was the coalition partners' disagreement with the decision to postpone the election. At the same time, Gowin announced that he would remain a member of the United Right.

“It is clear that if presidential elections cannot be held on May 10, then early elections cannot be held. The Agreement remains in coalition for the good of Poland,” Gowin stressed.

He added that he was resigning from the post of minister of science as well.
