President of Association of Space Sector Employers: Polish space needs foreign sales
Poland’s space sector depends heavily on international sales, which are crucial for its survival, according to industry representatives. Key clients include the European Space Agency, the European Commission, and foreign space companies. Poland has pledged EUR 550 million to ESA programs, with up to 85–90% potentially returning as contracts for domestic firms. Despite growing expertise and competitiveness, the sector faces limited private capital in Europe and strong global competition, especially from the US, China, and India. Companies also deal with supply chain risks and talent shortages, though the workforce is becoming more skilled.
Experts stress that further growth requires global expansion, stronger public support systems, and reduced bureaucracy to compete effectively.
