SAP Polska study: 40% of managers indicate a shortage of qualified employees

According to a SAP Polska survey, 40% of managers cite a shortage of skilled workers and insufficient knowledge transfer between generations as major challenges. Yet, 73% of managers responsible for IT budgets rate future skills within their organizations as good or very good. The report "Digitally Driven Business – or People Driven?" shows that only 20% of firms actively support knowledge transfer, while resistance to training is noted by nearly 40% of respondents.
Katarzyna Rusek, VP and HR Director at SAP Polska, emphasized the urgent need for companies to foster continuous learning, embrace technological potential, and build diverse teams. Future skills—technology use, innovation, critical thinking, and lifelong learning—are critical across all industries and company sizes.
