Poland's industrial production in November 2024 fell by 1.5% y/y and 5.4% m/m, with declines in 18 industrial sectors, including automotive production (-16.4%) and beverage manufacturing (-7.1%). Construction activity also showed mixed results, with a 9.3% annual decline but a 3.3% monthly increase.
The weaker performance is attributed to reduced demand from trade partners, particularly in the EU, where industrial activity remains subdued. Analysts highlight challenges for exporters as foreign orders dropped by 4% in October. Producer prices fell 3.7% y/y in November, reflecting reduced demand and stabilizing at 2022 levels. Despite declines, some sectors, such as electronics (+6.6%) and energy (+5.6%), showed growth, providing a partial offset to the broader downturn.
