The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) in Poland has found that Dell's sales practices for its IT solutions and computers may have violated competition laws. The company has been ordered to change its practices and has been fined PLN 6 million for misleading UOKiK’s president during the investigation. The inquiry focused on suspected collusion with distributors that restricted competition, particularly regarding public sector sales.
UOKiK expressed concerns about Dell's transaction registration system, which allegedly limited competitive offers to clients. Dell has six months to implement the necessary changes, ensuring multiple authorized sellers can compete for contracts without Dell's approval. The decisions are not yet final, as Dell has the right to appeal.
