Biedronka is surprised by the allegations from the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) regarding its promotional campaigns, as the company is currently in dialogue with the Office on this matter. Biedronka emphasized that its promotions are designed to create real savings for Polish customers, with clear communication through its website, in-store information, and vouchers, following UOKiK's previous recommendations.
UOKiK had accused Biedronka of failing to inform customers about the terms and limitations of a promotion where vouchers were offered for product returns. The company faces a potential fine of up to 10% of its turnover. Biedronka operates 3,659 stores as of Q3 2024, up from 3,473 the previous year.
