As Euro 2024 approaches, consumers are gearing up for the event with special shopping trips. According to a survey by NIQ and Grupa BLIX, 66 percent of shoppers plan to buy salty snacks, 45 percent will opt for beer, and 36 percent for non-alcoholic beverages. Additionally, 28 percent will purchase fruits, while 24 percent will stock up on cold cuts, ready meals, and cheeses. Strong alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic beers (16 percent) are also on their shopping lists.

The survey reveals that 87 percent of respondents will shop at discount stores or supermarkets, with 28 percent choosing hypermarkets, 14 percent opting for local stores, and 11 percent heading to small chain stores.

The authors of the survey highlight that the performance of Polish footballers will significantly impact sales levels. Successes on the field are expected to boost sales, while defeats could halt them.
