Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced a decision to allocate PLN 3.5 billion for the Central Transportation Hub (CPK) project in the form of treasury securities. The funds will support design work for the airport terminal, railway station, transit hub, and associated infrastructure. This financial decision aims to dispel doubts about the project's future.
Additionally, ownership supervision of Polish Aviation Group (including LOT Airlines) will transfer from the Ministry of State Assets to the Ministry of Infrastructure for better coordination of the large-scale project.
The CPK initiative, estimated at PLN 131.7 billion by 2032, includes a central airport, high-speed rail, and road networks. Recent audits have prompted adjustments to its financial and timeline frameworks, ensuring progress in design and construction stages.
