In the third quarter of 2024, Polish respondents scored 5.87 out of 10 in the European Investment Bank's (EIB) sixth Climate Change Survey, indicating a relatively low knowledge level compared to other EU countries. The survey highlighted a generational knowledge gap in Poland regarding the causes, effects, and solutions to climate change.
Respondents over 50 demonstrated greater knowledge compared to younger generations. Overall, there's a general lack of awareness about climate change solutions in Poland, with many not recognizing measures like speed limit reductions or improved building insulation as effective.
The survey involved over 30,000 respondents from 35 countries and assessed knowledge across climate change definitions, causes, consequences, and solutions.
