Elemental Holding accused by TVN24 of falsification of recycling documentation
TVN24 has accused Elemental Holding of alleged fictitious waste shipments, falsified recycling documentation and subsidy fraud, raising questions about more than PLN 1 billion in state support for the POLVOLT battery-recycling project. Poland’s Ministry of Development and Technology said that, as of August 11, no public funds had been paid to Elemental Battery Metals and that no payments would be made until the allegations are fully clarified.
Elemental Holding said the case concerns one of its 55 subsidiaries and is unrelated to the flagship POLVOLT investment in Zawiercie. The ministry stressed that the project underwent internal review, received a positive legal opinion and has also secured support from the European Investment Bank and the EU Innovation Fund. It was additionally designated a strategic project under the EU Critical Raw Materials Act.
