Exporters planning FDIs focus on central European countries: thinktank

Exporters planning foreign investments most often want to invest in central European countries, according to a study by the state-owned Polish Economic Institute (PIE) thinktank.
As many as 63 percent of them indicated the European Union as the place of investment.
“Over half of the indications were attributed to EU member states from central Europe, of which a third were to the Czech Republic,” PIE experts emphasized.
The survey shows that though the importance of North and South America and Africa is growing in the exporters' investment plans (up to 21 percent of indications), indications for Ukraine and Russia as the location of investments accounted for 16 percent.
