Gaz-System is planning to build Poland’s second LNG terminal in the Gulf of Gdańsk, with a project cost exceeding 4.5 billion PLN. This investment, expected to be completed in the coming years, will enhance the country’s gas import capacity and energy security. The terminal will be a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) with a capacity of 170,000 cubic meters of LNG, capable of regasifying up to 6.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually.
The FSRU will be chartered from Japan’s Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and built in a South Korean shipyard. This is Poland’s final large-scale gas infrastructure project, following the Świnoujście LNG terminal and Baltic Pipe. Completion is expected by 2027/2028.
