GUS: in July ‘25, registered unemployment rate rising to 5.4%

Poland’s unemployment rate in July 2025 rose to 5.4%, up from 5.2% in June, according to the Central Statistical Office (GUS). The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy had earlier estimated the same figure. The number of registered unemployed reached 830,800, compared with 797,000 a month earlier. Newly registered jobseekers also increased sharply, totaling 108,400 in July versus 85,300 in June.
The data reflects a noticeable monthly rise in both overall unemployment and new registrations, pointing to potential challenges in the labor market despite earlier signs of stabilization.
