Mitsui OSK Lines Wins Gaz-System Tender for Floating LNG Terminal in Gdańsk Bay
Gaz-System has chosen Mitsui OSK Lines to provide and manage a floating terminal in the Bay of Gdańsk, enhancing Poland's liquefied natural gas (LNG) import capabilities. This milestone follows a tender procedure, part of Gaz-System's FSRU program. Mitsui OSK Lines, boasting the world's largest fleet of LNG methane carriers, will oversee the project. The terminal, located 3 km from Gdańsk's shore, aims to handle 6.1 billion cubic meters of gas annually, securing over 30% of Poland's gas demand. With administrative approvals in place, the investment is slated for completion in 2027-2028.
