Pole responsible for DEKRA management
The board of governors of DEKRA e.V. and the supervisory board of DEKRA SE, at their ordinary meetings, adopted a resolution on the long-term reorganization of the management board and the supervisory board with effect from the date of the decision. The current CEO, Stefan Kölbl, will lead the highest supervisory bodies of DEKRA e.V. and DEKRA SE. Thus, this outstanding industry expert with more than 25 years of experience in the TIC sector (Testing, Inspection, Certification) takes over the presidency of DEKRA's supervisory bodies. Longtime chairman of the board of directors and supervisory board, Thomas Pleines, resigns after many years of successful work for the company.
A Pole, Stan Zurkiewicz, as President of the Management Board (CEO) of DEKRA e.V./SE, will now be responsible for the operational management of the Group. Stan Zurkiewicz, born in Gdynia, is the first president from outside Germany in over a hundred years of DEKRA's history. The new CEO managed DEKRA in Asia for many years, became a board member and COO of the entire company in 2021, and just 15 months later he was appointed president of the world's largest unlisted company in the TIC industry. It is also the first Polish CEO in the world's largest unlisted company.
