Poles limiting alcohol and sugar in their diets

More Polish households are reducing alcohol consumption and limiting sugar in their daily diets, according to YouGov consumer data. Over the past year more than 300,000 households stopped buying strong alcohol entirely, while 16% of consumers say they plan to reduce consumption further. At the same time, functional beverages such as isotonic and energy drinks are gaining popularity, with purchases rising more than 16% and reaching over half of households. Health awareness is also driving lower sugar intake, as 42% of consumers plan to reduce sugar and 47% intend to limit chocolate and sweets.

High protein products are also growing rapidly, reaching over 80% of households, reflecting a broader shift toward healthier and more conscious consumption habits.
