Study: Poles eating too few fruits and vegetables
A study commissioned by Kaufland shows that only 42 percent of Poles eat vegetables daily, while just 27 percent regularly consume fruit. This highlights a clear gap between dietary recommendations and actual habits, which may increase the risk of chronic diseases.
Most people eat only one or two portions per day, far below the recommended five portions or about 400 grams. Women and older adults have healthier habits, while younger people and parents consume fewer fruits and vegetables. Experts say the issue is not lack of knowledge but everyday choices and lifestyle factors. Improving diets does not require drastic changes, but rather gradually increasing fruit and vegetable intake and making them a regular part of meals.
