Polish venture capital market grew in ‘25 with favorable rounds for start-ups
In 2025, Polish start-ups raised about 25% more funding than a year earlier, with venture capital investments exceeding PLN 3.37 billion, marking a strong rebound after two weak years. The figures were boosted by two mega-rounds: ElevenLabs raised PLN 720 million, and space-tech company Iceye secured PLN 636 million. Several other firms also attracted over PLN 100 million each. Even excluding these large deals, funding grew by 28%, outperforming Western Europe, though still lagging behind the U.S.
A defining feature of the market is the strong role of public capital: more than half of total funding involved public or public-private sources, mainly through PFR Ventures. Seed and pre-seed rounds remain crucial for sustaining long-term growth.
