Poland has one of the fastest-growing rental costs in the EU, with rents increasing by 66.5% over the past decade, placing it fifth in Europe. Rising wages have not kept pace with property prices, particularly in large cities like Warsaw, where buying a home is increasingly difficult. Economist Geoffrey Ditta’s study shows that home prices across the EU, UK, and Norway have surged since 2013, outstripping inflation and wages, making homeownership a distant dream for many.

In Poland, renting consumes over 30% of income for half of city residents, reaching 48% in Warsaw. Additionally, 35% of Poles face a "rental gap," unable to afford rent or purchase yet earning too much for government aid.
