The retail sales are expected to rise in nominal terms by 3.9 percent y/y this year, GfK European Retail Study showed. In the 27 European countries, the nominal increase in retail sales is forecasted at 2 percent, with the highest in Romania and Lithuania. "Most European consumers feel uncertain about the contradictory signals sent by the global market," GfK executive Przemysław Dwojak said in a statement.
