Polish counterintelligence has uncovered a network of amateurs formed by Russians, Belarusians, and pro-Russian Ukrainians, recruited on Polish territory by the Russian spy agency GRU, who were intended to, among other things, sabotage arms deliveries to Ukraine fighting against Russia, as reported by the 'Washington Post' on Friday, describing the secret methods of Russian activities in Poland.
"The issue described in the 'Washington Post' concerns a large, multi-threaded investigation, which we first mentioned at the beginning of March. It was then that the Internal Security Agency initiated a series of arrests of individuals suspected of espionage for Russian intelligence. The ABW is still pursuing this case," Stanisław Żaryn, Deputy Minister and Coordinator of Special Services, commented.
