Szczecin is preparing a major change in its urban planning policy that could allow skyscrapers up to 200 meters tall. City officials plan to abandon rigid height limits that have long restricted ambitious projects. Instead, each development would be assessed individually based on urban context, visibility, and architectural quality. The goal is to enable landmark buildings that enhance the city skyline and attract new investment. Potential locations for high rise development include the Łasztownia waterfront district, areas near the main railway station and Wyzwolenia Avenue, and investment zones along the Oder River.

If the new planning rules are adopted, Szczecin could join other Polish cities with modern skylines while improving land use and supporting economic growth.
