Capgemini focuses on well-being in practice

Caring for physical and mental health, well-being among employees, and maintaining work-life balance are the basics of functioning in a modern work environment. Although we have been working dispersed for over a year, we invariably appreciate the role of wellbeing on a professional level, and we even believe that it is now more important than ever.
According to an analysis prepared by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, every euro spent on caring for the health and well-being of employees translates into savings of €2.5-4.8 in costs related to absenteeism.
For many years, Capgemini has made efforts to ensure that employees feel supported by the company, develop in its structures, feeling satisfied with the implemented projects. Capgemini pays special attention to the atmosphere in the teams, caring for mutual respect and trust.
“Activities supporting the wellbeing of employees were important to us already before 2020, which was further strengthened by the pandemic. Although I have the impression that we are already talking about another well-being. It is not only health but also a sense of security and happiness – in the professional and private space. It is a state in which a person feels comfortable and can pursue their life goals and develop their potential. We try to respond to the needs of our employees in many fields and through various programs,” Dominika Nawrocka, Brand Communication and CSR Manager at Capgemini, said.
The real challenge in the face of the pandemic was maintaining the team spirit and the ties between workers. In response to this need, Capgemini launched an online platform that allows employees to join themed rooms, establish closer relationships, discover shared passions, and be inspired by the experiences of colleagues.
