Study: young women suffering mental crisis at work, especially in big cities

A study by Hedepy for Business reveals that Polish employees increasingly face mental health problems, with women and young adults in the worst condition. The main challenges are stress and poor work-life balance, especially among urban women aged 18–34 trying to balance careers and personal life. While rural residents report better wellbeing, chronic imbalance in big cities fuels burnout and lower productivity, particularly among managers aged 35–54. Experts warn that normalizing overwork damages workplace culture.
Despite more wellbeing programs, many employees—especially women—say they lack access to psychological support. Hedepy stresses that real change requires systemic mental health initiatives, not superficial perks. The survey of 812 workers was conducted October 1–3, 2025.
