Over 34% of companies in Poland are uncertain about when they will be required to submit ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) reports, according to a survey by Crowe Poland and Envirly. Only 24% feel well-prepared for non-financial reporting. Many Polish firms view ESG solely as a legal obligation and delay preparations, unaware that lacking sustainability data could lead to losing valuable contracts with larger companies.
The survey found that 6% of firms rate their ESG preparedness as very high, while 32% rate it as low. By 2026, around 50,000 EU companies, including 3,500 in Poland, must comply with ESG reporting. An additional 135,000 Polish companies may need to collect ESG data due to their role in supply chains.
