Comarch, one of Poland’s largest IT firms, is exploring the sale of three major business segments: healthcare, public services, and telecommunications. After CVC Capital Partners took control of the company in October 2024, it plans to delist Comarch from the Warsaw Stock Exchange and pursue strategic restructuring to maximize returns. A potential sale of these segments has already begun, with healthcare as one of the first areas considered for sale. Other assets, such as infrastructure services, might also be divested. Comarch’s telecommunications division, historically significant but in need of restructuring, may attract investors like Amdoc or Asseco.
The healthcare sector, although a younger venture, has been expanding in telemedicine and medical software, drawing interest from foreign investors like CompuGroup Medical. Additionally, the company’s strong presence in the public sector, serving clients such as ZUS and NFZ, could make it appealing to firms like Asseco or international entities. CVC is also considering selling Comarch’s football club, Cracovia, which faces significant financial challenges. Despite these hurdles, Comarch’s high-value assets and strategic positioning in key markets make it an attractive prospect for various potential buyers.
