Demand for plant-based meat substitutes in Poland is declining, despite significant growth in interest and product offerings in recent years. In the first seven months of 2024, only 9.7% of households purchased these products, down from 10.3% in the same period last year. Data from CPS GfK shows a reduction of nearly 81,500 buyers, with the average household purchasing 0.85 kg compared to 0.94 kg the previous year.

Moreover, fewer households made repeat purchases, with just under 49% returning for more, a decrease from over 53% in 2023. Overall, the volume of plant-based product purchases fell by nearly 16%, while their value dropped by 14%.
