Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki decided to dismiss Anna Kornecka from the function of the Undersecretary of State. The reason is the unsatisfactory pace of work on the #PolskiŁad key projects in terms of facilitating the construction of 70 sqm houses and the purchase of apartments without own contribution, as government spokesman Piotr Müller informed on Twitter.
Anna Kornecka, Deputy Minister of Development, Labor and Technology, openly criticized the tax reform of the Polish Deal. On Tuesday, on TVN24, she said that the Agreement sets the boundaries and is against such a sharp increase in taxes. In her opinion, the thesis that 90 percent of Poles will benefit from tax increases for entrepreneurs is untrue.
“All calculations show that even the smallest taxpayers who pay their taxes with a tax card, also lose out on these solutions. They lose a lot because it is not PLN 50-100 a month, but much more,” she said.
According to the deputy minister, the proposed solutions may harm a large number of Poles. “The most important thing is not to increase taxes in the most difficult economic moment in our country. That is why we are protesting, and therefore we announce that we will not support such solutions in this form,” emphasized Kornecka.
"When I joined the government, I had one goal: to defend Polish entrepreneurs. There is no consent to drastically increase taxes and levies for them. I do not regret paying for it with my resignation," she wrote on Twitter.
