Limit on spending for social housing to be raised to PLN 5 bln

Poland plans to allocate PLN 5 billion in 2024 and up to PLN 50 billion by 2030 for social housing, including TBS (Social Housing Associations), SIM (Social Housing Initiatives), cooperative housing, and dormitory construction, announced Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
In 2024, PLN 2.5 billion will directly fund municipalities to build around 15,000 affordable rental units. Local governments can receive non-repayable grants covering up to 80% of investment costs. The program will increase state support for social housing by 2.5 times.
Additionally, student housing, housing savings accounts, and parking regulations will see reforms. The annual housing budget is set to reach PLN 10 billion from 2025 to 2030, ensuring long-term development in the sector.
