NBP: in ‘24, outflow of capital from Polish direct investments abroad PLN 14.7 bln

In 2024, Polish outward foreign direct investment (FDI) outflow reached PLN 14.7 billion, down from PLN 35.2 billion in 2023, according to the National Bank of Poland. Debt instruments (PLN 8.8 billion) and reinvested earnings (PLN 6.1 billion) dominated the structure. Major destinations included Norway (PLN 2.7 billion), the UK (PLN 2.5 billion), and the Netherlands (PLN 1.7 billion). By year-end, Polish FDI assets totaled PLN 164.9 billion, mainly in manufacturing (PLN 37.7 billion), trade (PLN 32.5 billion), and mining (PLN 15.5 billion).
Income from FDI amounted to PLN 11.4 billion, led by mining (PLN 7.8 billion) and strongest returns from Norway, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.
